Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026

STUUDIO (“the App”) is developed and published by The Blue Planet FZ LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in the United Arab Emirates.

This policy explains what the App does and does not collect, and what rights you have. It applies to the STUUDIO iOS app and the website at stuudio.app.

1. The short version

  • STUUDIO is a camera app. Your photos and videos stay on your device. We never upload, view, store, or transmit them.

  • We do not require an account. There is no sign-up, no login, no email address needed to use the App.

  • We do not sell or share your personal data with anyone for advertising purposes.

  • The only data that leaves your device is anonymous crash and usage diagnostics, and purchase data handled by Apple.

2. Camera and photo library access

STUUDIO asks for two iOS permissions:

Camera access — required for the App to function. Used solely to capture photos and video at the moment you press the shutter. The camera feed is processed on your device in real time and is never streamed, recorded in the background, or sent anywhere.

Photo library access — used to save the images and videos you capture. Depending on the permission you grant, this may be “Add Photos Only” (write access) or full library access. We do not read, scan, index, or upload the contents of your photo library.

You can revoke either permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera / Photos on your device. Revoking camera access will stop the App from working.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise or approximate location, health data, browsing history, or the content of your photos and videos.

Photos and videos captured with STUUDIO are written directly to your device’s storage or photo library. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party by the App.

3.2 Diagnostics and crash data

To keep the App stable we collect anonymous technical diagnostics, which may include: device model, iOS version, App version, crash logs and stack traces, and non-identifying interaction events (for example, that a photo recipe was selected, without any image data).

This data is not linked to your identity and cannot reasonably be used to identify you. It is processed under our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the App.

This is collected via Apple’s own App Analytics (only if you have opted in to share analytics with developers in iOS Settings) and ANALYTICS PROVIDER — e.g. TelemetryDeck / Firebase Crashlytics / Sentry / none.

You can opt out of Apple’s sharing at Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share iPhone Analytics.

3.3 Purchases and subscriptions

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.

Apple provides us with anonymised, aggregated sales and subscription reports, and a receipt token used to verify that a purchase is valid and restore it across your devices. Apple’s handling of your data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

3.4 Referral and promo codes

If you enter a creator or promo code in the App, we record that the code was used, in order to attribute the referral and calculate commission owed to that creator. This record is tied to an anonymous, app-generated identifier and the code itself — not to your name, email address, or Apple Account. The creator does not receive any information about you.

3.5 Contacting us

If you email us for support, we hold your email address and the contents of your message for as long as needed to resolve your query, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records.

4. How we use information

We use the limited data described above only to:

  1. Operate and deliver the App’s features

  2. Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance

  3. Verify purchases and restore them across your devices

  4. Attribute referral codes and pay creator commissions

  5. Respond to your support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share data only with:

  • Apple — for App distribution, payments, and (if enabled) analytics

  • [ANALYTICS / CRASH PROVIDER] — for anonymous diagnostics

  • Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws.

6. Data retention

Diagnostics and crash data are retained for up to 24 months. Referral code records are retained for as long as commission may be payable, plus any period required by tax or accounting law. Support emails are retained for up to 24 months. Photos and videos are retained only by you, on your device.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Because STUUDIO does not require an account and does not collect identifying information, we usually hold no personal data about you at all, which means there may be nothing for us to retrieve or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United Arab Emirates. Our service providers may process data in the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children

STUUDIO is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable age). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

Because your photos stay on your device, the strongest protection for them is your device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS encryption. For the limited data we do handle, we use encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App or on our website. Continuing to use STUUDIO after a change means you accept the updated policy.
