ZEROLAG · Vato Apps

Privacy Policy

Effective 10 September 2026.

The short version. ZEROLAG keeps your data on your phone. We have no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The only thing that ever leaves your device is a flight number and a date, sent to a flight timetable service so we can find your flight.

What the app uses, and why

Location, once, with your permission, to find your home airport and set your home clock. The app keeps the airport you chose, not your location.

Calendar, with your permission, read on your phone to find your next flight so you don't have to type it. Nothing from your calendar is uploaded.

Notifications, scheduled on your phone, to remind you at each step of your plan.

Photos, add-only, when you save a wallpaper or an arrival report.

Your plan, trips and check-ins, stored on your phone and, for the widgets and Apple Watch, in your device's own secure storage. They are never sent to us.

What leaves your phone

When you enter a flight number, the app asks a flight timetable service (AeroDataBox) for that flight's route and scheduled times. The request contains the flight number and the date. It contains no account, no name and no device identifier. If the service can't be reached, the app estimates the times itself.

Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

What we don't do

We don't collect personal data. We don't use analytics or crash reporting services. We don't show ads or share anything with advertisers. We don't track you across apps or websites.

Deleting your data

Everything ZEROLAG stores is on your device. Deleting the app deletes it.

Children

ZEROLAG is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
