Then it measures each face's own skin tone on the cheeks and forehead. Prefer to choose? Pick the skin with the eyedropper and it becomes a simple colour selection.

Most skin smoothers just blur. STUUDIO Beauty splits every frame into layers of detail, from fine pores up to broad blotches, and only softens the bumps that don't belong: spots, redness, fine lines and uneven tone. Pores, stubble, lashes and film grain keep their bite, so skin still looks like skin.

Neural Engine
Masks drawn on the Neural Engine
Person segmentation, person separation and face landmarks run side by side on Apple's Neural Engine, all three in about 8 ms. Then the GPU retouches in under 2 ms.

Detail bands
Smoothed by size, not by blur
Each frame becomes a pyramid of detail bands. Brightness is evened out between 2 and 16 pixels and colour between 2 and 32 (at HD), so blotches vanish and pores don't.
No halos
Edge-aware
Skin never mixes with its neighbours
Every skin average is edge-aware, so a dark brow, a shadow or the background beside a cheek can't bleed into the skin. Pixels it doesn't select come back bit-for-bit untouched.

Your lighting stays put
Taking out blemishes can quietly darken skin. STUUDIO Beauty removes the change's own 32-pixel average, so faces keep their shape, light and colour, and highlights keep their shine.

Aimed at the skin-tone line
Skin Tone turns skin toward the vectorscope's skin-tone line, measured at 123° on the skin patches of a colour chart. Hue and Deepen take it from there.

Rock steady
No flicker, frame after frame
The same frame always renders the same, and on moving 4K footage the mask shifts by less than one 8-bit level between frames. Move a dial and only that dial changes.
SKIN TONE + HUE + DEEPEN
Cinema skin, in three dials.
Skin Tone moves every skin toward the vectorscope's natural skin-tone line. Hue turns it rosier or more golden. Deepen gives it the rich density of a film print, a little darker and more colourful together, while highlights keep their glow. All three work on colour alone with a soft falloff, so there are never hard edges, and Strength only ever touches the smoothing.
